Next week sees the opening training session for the ENJN Caucasus group. The team of 22 reporters will land in Brussels on Monday, 17 November to spend five days getting under the skin of Brussels’ policy to their region.

And it couldn’t come at a more important time for them all. With anti- government protests in Tbilisi prompting a 15 day state of emergency last week, signs of a possible thaw between Azerbaijan and Armenia over the long frozen Nagorno –Karabagh conflict emerging and the aftermath of the summer conflict in South Ossetia still testing EU – Russian relations there will be much to talk about.

As usual the reporters are coming from the top publications in the region and will meet with the key players to get to the heart of the story for their readers and viewers. Interviewing Christina Gallach, Spokesperson of Javier Solana, Secretary-General of the EU Council, James Appathurai, NATO Spokesman and Marcus Cornaro, Director for European Neighbourhood Policy, AIDCI, European Commission amongst many others, the team will be getting the very best access.

Their pieces will be ready for publication and airing on Friday, 21 November and will appear on the website in the following week, so log in and take a look.
