Based on the UNESCO initiative on Journalism Curriculum Development, the
three days conference takes place in Prague from 4-8 April. The event is hosted by and during the Czech EU presidency and focuses on New Media Technologies in Journalism Education.
Participants from ENP countries - journalism training institutions and journalism faculties - are brought together in in-depth working group sessions guided by experts in the field.
Cutting age self-publishing tools and methods are at the core of the sessions as well as the sharing of best practice examples from participants themselves. In a “train the trainers” approach, cataloguing of current curriculum content and exchange of curriculum material is combined with an
interactive learning approach. The outcome will include next steps for
implementing the findings into current curricula.
