ENJN Maghrebi team rounded off their fifth and final field work session last week (May 3-7) with a fantastic performance in Azerbaijan.
Drilling down into a rich seam of information and comment, the team of top reporters from Lebanon, Algeria, Tunisia and Morocco met up with some of the highest profile figures in Caspian oil and gas to look at the ENP and energy policy. Interviewing British Petroleum, the EU delegation, the Azeri Foreign Ministry, oil and gas analysts and the Azeri State Oil Company provided the team with a comprehensive picture of the strategic importance of the region for the EU, and its future role as a energy supplier and possible competitor for North African gas.
